    Child Care Facilities

    Disability Access

The Priory Training School, and Five Counties SCITT, are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all trainees, including those with disabilities and additional needs. We recognise that every trainee brings unique strengths and challenges, and we work proactively to ensure equitable access to our teacher training programme. This includes tailored support for individuals with dyslexia, physical, hearing or visual impairments, and mental health conditions.

We offer reasonable adjustments based on individual needs, such as adapted resources, flexible scheduling, and additional mentoring. Our centre-based training venues are accessible, and we collaborate closely with placement schools to ensure appropriate accommodations are in place. While accessibility may vary between schools, we take care to match trainees with placements that can meet their specific requirements.

Our experienced team works in partnership with trainees to regularly review support plans and ensure progress is maintained throughout the programme.

Our inclusive approach reflects our commitment to equity and excellence in teacher training. We welcome open conversations with applicants about their needs and encourage early disclosure so that we can plan effectively and provide the best possible support from the outset.
